 Besides
our MICR Position and Layout Gauge, MICR Tech offers another hands
on MICR measurement tool. Our Optical Comparator with MICR reticle
allows for close up scrutiny of the MICR font—with special
regards given to font characteristics such as shape and character
dimensions. It allows a user to visually check for font attributes
such as dirty fonts (fonts that contain voids or malformed characters).
Since
no two printers exhibit the exact same print characteristics,
the
Comparator is extremely useful in comparing similar characters
from one printer manufacturer and/or model to another to determine
the printer that provides the best overall font quality.
