Void Feature

Checks contain multiple designs on the background, signature
area and amount line that include an intricate security
design feature called pantographs. When documents containing
pantographs are copied, words like copy
or void appear.

Signature Area & Amount Line
U.S. Patent
The signature area and amount line are printed with the different pantographic backgrounds from the front of the check. This patented use of multiple pantographic designs produces VOIDs through various density settings on the copier. The signature area also has a warning clause indicating that the signature has a colored background.

Micro Printing
The line borders on the check and the endorsement are micro printed with SAFE CHECK, and can only be seen when magnified. This security feature is also used on United States Currency.

ABA Check Endorsement Clause

The American Banking Association (ABA) endorsement clause
is printed on the back of the document with a warning
clause indicating that the face of the check contains
a colored background, a facsimile of the watermark, etc.
The checks pantographic background is also part of the
endorsement clause. The facsimile of the watermark and
the warning clause are covered under U.S. Patents.

Watermark Certification Seal
U.S. Patent
An EPA approved watermark certification seal & fingerprint that cannot be photocopied are on the back of every check with appropriate warning clauses printed on the front and back of the check. The watermark(s) also certifies that the paper meets all specifications for laser check printing.
- Heat sensitive Ink - Separate Color
U.S. Patent
The patented ink will disappear at temperatures above 85
F. This will allow the payer to verify that the check is
not a fraudulent document. Because the ink is heat sensitive
it is virtually impossible to make copies or scan the document
without the fingerprint and security seal disappearing.

Fingerprint Watermark Security Seal

In addition to the visible fingerprint security seal in the ABA endorsement area, the same fingerprint and seal are incorporated in the watermark(s) to further guarantee the authenticity of the negotiable document.

Warning Clause

The ABA endorsement area also contains the FingerprinTsecurIty warning clause to alert the payer that rubbing or breathing on the heat sensitive ink will make the ink temporarily disappear.

Fluorescent Fibers
Artificial yellow fluorescent fibers on the back will intensify under black light.

Control Numbers
Each FingerprinTsecurIty check is printed with a control number to further assure authenticity. These numbers, along with the fingerprint, are registered with FingerprinTsecurIty, Inc.(Available for additional charge)
